Dr. Gina Nick, NMD, PhD is a California and Hawaii licensed Naturopathic Physician, President Emeritus of the California Naturopathic Doctors Association, Founder of HealthBridge Newport in Newport Beach, CA, and Physician Spokesperson for the American Association of Naturopathic Physicians and the American College for Advancement in Medicine. Dr. Gina is respected internationally in the fields of Integrative Medicine, Detoxification, Hormone Treatments, and Addiction Treatment and Recovery. She is a graduate of the University of California, Los Angeles; where she received College and Latin Honors and is a UCLA Alumni Scholar and member of the Golden Key Honors Society, and a graduate of Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine where she was awarded her Doctorate Degree at the age of 23 and received Distinguished Honors for her work in nutritional biochemistry, homeopathy and herbal medicine.

Dr. Gina has practiced Naturopathic Medicine for 19 years with unparalleled results and, in most cases, without the need for traditional medications that cause unnecessary side effects.  Her treatment methods have produced consistent results for patients with conditions running the gamut from dietary and allergic response to diabetes, autoimmune disorders and hormone imbalance.

She is the author of hundreds of published and peer-reviewed scientific documents on natural medicine, and is the inventor of several formulation techniques specific for the natural products industry. Dr. Gina is also the researcher and formulator of a variety of highly reputable, clinically researched nutritional supplements. Her client list includes Standard Process, Gaia Herbs, Eli Lilly, EAS, Enzymatic Therapy, Pure Encapsulations, Shaklee and NASA.

Her most recent patent projects involve the formulation and use of nutraceuticals and herbal medicines designed to treat Sickness Syndrome/Inflamed Brain, a syndrome discovered by Dr. Gina that offers a cause for drug addiction, depression and anxiety that is best treated with natural treatment modalities. Author of the sought after medical text, Clinical Purification and Yogic Nutrition, Dr. Gina has also maintained a long-standing, well-respected column in the Townsend Letter for Doctors and Patients entitled Therapeutic Nutrition.

She is a featured expert on PBS and is quoted in popular magazines including Woman’s World, First for Women, Yogi Times, Better Homes and Gardens, Remedies, Diet & Fitness Magazine and Woman’s Day. Dr. Gina is the author of hundreds of published and peer-reviewed scientific documents on natural medicine and is the inventor of several natural products formulation techniques.  She is the author of two books; Clinical Purification and Yogic Nutrition. Over the past 15 years she has taught over 11,000 Doctors and Pharmacists about natural hormone balance, fertility, detoxification therapies, and natural treatments for anxiety, depression, inflammatory and autoimmune challenges.

Dr. Gina is a member of the American College for the Advancement of Medicine, the American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine, the UCLA Alumni Scholar Association, the American Association of Naturopathic Physicians, and the California Naturopathic Doctors Association. Dr. Gina is Chair of the Healthcare Committee for the Lionheart Institute, a global thinktank, and an active Board Member for the non-profit organization Angel Light Academy that teaches leadership skills, conflict resolution, communication and problem solving to youth and adults.

Dr. Gina Nick, NMD, PhD presenting at the 2018 Advanced Applications in Medical Practice Conference in Scottsdale, AZ and the International Congress on Naturopathic Medicine in London. The theme of the Scottsdale conference was “The Brain-Advanced Approaches in Integrative Neurobiology.” She presented to physicians about innovative ways to prevent and treat addiction as a brain and systemic disease, cognitive decline, depression and anxiety.

She also presented on Gluathione and its Role in Neuroinflammation.

Some of the medical services used in her practice to address these challenges include glutathione and nutrient injection therapies, custom hormone balance, amino acid, fatty acid and nutrient therapy.

Her approach to treating these conditions is balanced and unique in that she supports the existing and well established pharmacologic approach paired with this regenerative approach to the prevention and treatment of addiction disorder, mental health challenges and cognitive decline due to traumatic brain injury.
